Hey Michigan State fans, the 2017-2018 basketball season is here!

This year is sure to be an exciting season, and we look forward to rooting on our Spartans to a successful season. We’ve gathered all of the important information you’ll need to get ready for the upcoming games!

2017-2018 Season

We have high expectations and lots of excitement for this season! Our Spartans have Miles Bridges, who was named as ESPN’s preseason Player of the Year, back for his second season. Many people thought he would choose to enter the NBA after his freshman year, but we’re happy that he chose to return to East Lansing this season. He’ll definitely be the player to watch.

Other important players to watch this year will be the following returners: Cassius Winston, Joshua Langford, and Nick Ward. We also expect to see big things from the No. 9 ranked freshman, Jaren Jackson.

Our team was pretty solid on shooting last season, but we hope they will be able to improve their turnovers and rebounds. Bolstering those weak points will be critical for the Spartans to be on top.

The full schedule for the 2017-2018 season can be found on the MSU Spartans website. Most games will be covered on TV and radio on the BTN’s Spartan Sports Network. Look for the Spartans on ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU for the big matchups, such as against Duke and Notre Dame!

Follow the Spartans on social media for news and updates throughout the season.

MSU Students

The student section for MSU basketball is called the Izzone, named after head coach Tom Izzo. This is definitely a fun section to be cheering in for Michigan students. Student tickets and Izzone memberships are available to MSU students through their website or by calling the Spartan Ticket Office at (517) 355-1610.

The Spartans compete in the Big Ten Conference of NCAA Division I basketball, and games are held at the Breslin Student Events Center.
